Dag Cramer, Chief Investment Officer of BSG (as advisor)
Executive Director and Group Treasurer with responsibility for the BSG Group offices in Guernsey since March 2007. Prior to this appointment he was States Treasurer and Chief Officer of the Treasury and Resources Department in the Government of Guernsey. As such he was the senior finance and economic advisor to the Government. Before joining the Civil Service in Guernsey in 1993 he had a successful career in the accounting and audit profession in both Guernsey and the United Kingdom with the major chartered accountant practices of KPMG and Deloitte. David qualified as an ACA in 1987.
Steven R. Philipp, CFA, Partner, Chief Operating Officer
Responsible for the operations, risk management and investment policy of Da Vinci Capital Group Ltd companies. Steven has 24 years of experience running international capital markets businesses: 15 years in fund management and nine years in investment banking/brokerage in various senior management capacities in Europe and the USA. The positions included Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager of several asset management companies in Austria, the Head of Research - Emerging European Equities, followed by Head of Capital Markets at RZB Austria (London Branch), four years as the Head of Emerging European Equities within the UniCredit Group’s investment banking subsidiary, and most recently as COO for one of the UniCredit Group’s newly acquired subsidiaries, CA IB International Markets Ltd (London). Steven is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has a BA from ORU (Oklahoma, USA), having studied History, German Literature and Business.
Oleg Jelezko, Managing Partner, Chief Executive Officer
Responsible for the investment strategy and all aspects of operations of the Da Vinci Capital Group Ltd companies. Oleg has 16 years of investment management, banking and management consulting experience in the UK, Russia and other emerging markets. Prior to Da Vinci Capital, Oleg was a Managing Director at Renaissance Capital, Moscow, Head of Equity Structured Products Group, where he built a leading alternative investment franchise in CIS markets with 40 people in several teams, significant AUM, above-market returns and 30 funds and investment products. Prior to Renaissance, Oleg was a Director in Emerging Markets Equities Sales and Trading in Credit Suisse First Boston in London. From 1992 to 1998, Oleg worked as a consultant in Andersen Consulting and McKinsey & Co in the UK, the Czech Republic and Russia. Oleg’s experience includes investment management, structuring, principal investment and M&A deals in Russia, Europe and South Africa, private equity activities, development of equity-linked products, corporate strategy and operational management.
Natalia Ivanova, Managing Director – OOO Da Vinci Capital (Advisor to the Fund)
As Advisor to the Fund, Natalia has more than 14 years of experience in investment banking and asset management, working for large Russian and foreign companies such as PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Sector Capital (EPIC), MC-BBL (Fleming), AGA Management. Natalia was most recently a Director and fund manager of the Renaissance Pre-IPO Fund. Natalia has executed 12 deals in pre-IPO fund over the last one and a half years with three exits and IRRs of 20% plus. Natalia holds MA in International Economics from Moscow University of International Relations (MGIMO) and ÌÂÀ from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus Graduate School of Business. She has passed Level 2 of the CFA Institute program.
Gleb Yakovlev, Managing Director – OOO Da Vinci Capital (Advisor to the Fund)
Responsible for advising on the trading strategies of Da Vinci’s equity and fixed income portfolios, and for the short-term liquidity management of the Da Vinci CIS Private Sector Growth Fund. Gleb was most recently a Director with Renaissance Capital, where he was responsible for funds trading, structured products and a $1.2bn equity finance portfolio. He has worked with Oleg Jelezko for nearly four years in Renaissance Capital, and was instrumental in structuring, marketing and trading of specialized funds, and a number of other investment products. Prior to joining Renaissance Gleb worked with Oleg Jelezko in Credit Suisse First Boston, where he had responsibility for custody.
