Our Region
We focus our investments primarily on Russia and Kazakhstan, which, together, represent over $2,400bn in GDP PPP, with GDP PPP per capita at resp. $15,837 and $12,603, well below the G7 meridian at $34,919. The Russian and Kazakhstan economies were not spared by the global financial crisis but are rebounding solidly with consensus growth forecasts over 5% p.a. for 2011 and 2012.
Russia and other CIS countries provide prime private equity opportunities as they benefit from a developed and liberalized economy whilst offering ample room for economic growth. Investing in the region is not without challenges, but we believe that our team provides the right skill set to capitalize on the opportunities offered by the region.
The CIS countries cover nearly 1/6th of the world’s surface with a population over 276 million (37% of G7) and total GDP PPP of $3,135 bn (11% of G7).
